Elaina gave us multiple litters of wonderful Golden puppies and because the foundation of the Riversbend line. She lived to the ripe old age of 13 years old before her peaceful death. Because God blessed us with a very high quality dog in Elaina, we have built the Riversbend line on her. For 30 years, EVERY female dog in our breeding program is directly related to Elaina, meaning we have always stayed within our line for the female goldens that we have put in our program.

Meet the Visionary Behind Riversbend Kennel

I am Jim Ellis, “The Head Pooper Scooper”, Founder, and Owner of Riversbend Kennel. At Riversbend, we have been breeding elite quality Golden Retrievers and Golden Doodles for 30 years. After a 33 year career in sales at General Mills Inc., and 6 years as a licensed relator, I am now semi-retired and able to devote all of my time to our breeding business. I am a father of 3, grandfather of 8 and have been married to my wife Jill for 46 years.

Riversbend kennel was the absolute best I would give them a 5 out of 5. They were very easy to work with and let us come out as many times to play and meet the pups until we made up our minds . The puppies and the older dogs are so loved and taken care of out there . There family to the owners not just animals and you can tell how the puppies were taken care of. They were also always so clean and there bedding and space was always clean too and you can tell the puppies were loved on and got a lot of socialization. We also got a clean report from the vet saying our dog was from a healthy breed and he checked our perfect . 2 years later our Moose is still perfect!! Riversbend is definitely the best breeder around !
